Initial Visit

45 minutes

A complete health history and focused exam specific to your needs, as well as a spinal adjustment if it is safe* for you to do so.

*meaning there is no serious health concern requiring GP referral or XRays prior to adjusting.

In cases where health history is more elaborate or there are severe neurological concerns regarding cranial nerves or cerebellar issues, more time may be required to do the proper assessments.

Please leave a note on your booking and Dr. Kimberley will contact you to confirm appropriate timing.

Second Visit

30 minutes

Going over your clinical findings, exam results, nervous system state, care plan and a second spinal assessment with adjustment.

This appointment is scheduled as close to within a couple days of your initial visit as possible. This allows Dr. Kimberley to see how your body responded to the chiropractic adjustment before the rest of your daily activities and weekly stressors accumulate in your nervous system. This ensures an effective care plan is created specific to your body’s ability to adapt and respond to new input through chiropractic care.

Subsequent Visits

15 or 30 minutes

Each visit involves a focused spinal and nervous system assessment, spinal adjustment and exercises as needed.

If you have a lot happening and require more time, need to address cranial nerve or cerebellar issues, or have any other need for a longer appointment, there is a 30min Subsequent Visit option that can also be scheduled online.

FAQs

Do you take insurance or MSP?

Dr. Kimberley is able to direct bill most insurances and MSP. You are responsible for anything that is not covered by your benefits package. Alternatively, you can pay up front and submit your receipts to your benefits. Most benefits packages and travel insurance cover Chiropractic.

Do you do ICBC or WorkSafe BC claims?

Dr. Kimberley is opted out of ICBC and WorkSafeBC. You can still be adjusted by her; you will be responsible for your own payment and submitting your receipts to ICBC or WorkSafeBC accordingly. Please double check with your adjustor if that is a viable option for you.

Do you see children or babies?

Yes Dr. Kimberley sees children and babies. Because childrens bones and brains are still developing, nervous system assessments look a lot different than adults. Adjustments are gentle, more tonal and focused around healthy developmental milestones and nervous sytem function. Exercises around core tone and cerebellar activity are also given when needed.

Who can see Dr. Kimberley?

If you are a person with a nervous system and you want to get better, you can see Dr. Kimberley (sorry, she doesn’t do animal chiropractic at this time).

How long is a care plan?

Your care plan is based on what is happening specifically for you in your body, your desired outcomes, and current research around chiropractic adjustments and neuroplasticity in the brain (how quickly your brain and body can change on a cellular level). A care plan is an educated suggestion, it is up to you what you decide to follow through on.

Please note: care plans are not based on your benefit package.

Do I need a medical note or referral to do Chiropractic?

Anyone can see a Chiropractor, no medical referrals are required to schedule in.
